Can you develop a program specific to our organisation and goals?

In addition to offering specific leadership workshops and programs, Aya Leadership welcomes the opportunity to work with your organisation to develop bespoke workshops, programs and coaching tailored to the goals of your organisation and the needs of your leaders. This could range from one-on-one coaching or team coaching to address specific goals; specific leadership skills workshops, or more expansive programs, to build identified leadership capabilities; to a leadership needs analysis; or development of a leadership development strategy for your organisation.

Aya Leadership’s focus on enduring leadership capabilities means we will walk with you as far on the leadership development journey as you need us to.

I don’t have a team, can I still take part in a program?

Yes, absolutely! At Aya Leadership we understand that leaders can arise from anywhere and leadership can be performed at any level, and that many people performing leadership roles, or preparing for formal leadership roles, do not necessarily (or currently) manage teams. Aya Leadership’s range of individual leadership coaching and programs are tailored to a broad range of emerging and established leaders. We love to help female leaders at all levels become more confident, courageous and transformative in their leadership; we meet you where you currently are in your leadership journey and guide you to achieving your leadership goals.

How much time will I need to commit to complete a leadership program?

Aya Leadership programs vary in time commitment, from Leadership Skills Workshops a few hours in length, to our four-month Mastermind.

The details regarding time commitments for each specific workshop/program are provided alongside the workshop/program descriptions.

Individual monthly coaching is provided for a 3-month, 6-month or 12-month time frame. Alternate options can be tailored to your requirements, please get in touch to discuss how we can help you achieve your goals.

How much ongoing support and coaching will I receive as a participant? How will I be able to ensure that I put what I learn into practice effectively?

Aya Leadership takes a holistic approach to ensure that the leadership skills you need are developed for enduring success and effectiveness in leadership. We work to understand the needs and motivations of the individual in order to best support them achieving their goals. Our unique approach addresses both the theory and tools for effective leadership, as well as coaching participants to ensure they apply and bed down their learning so it becomes second nature.

All our programs and leadership skills workshops provide practical strategies, techniques and tools that you can begin applying directly in the workplace. Our Resilient Leader program includes in-program coaching and post-program integrated learning activities to support application and embedding of strategies, techniques and tools. Our Women Who Lead Mastermind contains one-on-one coaching and integrated learning activities between workshops, over 4 months, to ensure the embedding and mastering of the skills you learn into your leadership practice.

What is the difference between a coach and a mentor?

Coaching is a powerful technique of listening and questioning that enables a person to identify where they want to be, where they are now, what options they have to move forward and what they will actually do to move forward (Open Door Coaching Technologies, Pty Ltd, 2015). Coaching empowers a person (the coachee) to identify solutions and experience self-growth, unlocking their potential and maximising their performance (McGinty 2019). A coach provides a judgement-free environment and asks effective questions in a way that empowers the coachee to identify solutions to their challenges and own them. This enables navigation of adversity, blockages or challenge; and achieves positive outcomes and growth in thinking and mindset.

Mentoring is a professional relationship based upon the sharing of professional (or life) skills, experience and advice between a more experienced mentor and a less experienced mentee. A mentoring partnership is built on encouragement, constructive feedback, openness, mutual respect and trust, and a willingness to share and learn.

Are the programs delivered face to face or online?

Aya Leadership’s programs are designed to be delivered either face to face, or online. During the COVID‑19 pandemic, all group programs have moved to online delivery. If you are seeking face to face delivery for your organisation, please get in touch to discuss COVID-safe options.

Do you offer leadership programs for men?

Aya Leadership’s unique focus is the development of enduring female leadership.

Our unique Women Who Lead Mastermind and Women First Program have been developed specifically for female participant groups.

However, the remainder of Aya Leadership’s leadership programs, skills workshops and coaching can be provided to a mixed gender group. Please get in touch to discuss your specific leadership development goals and requirements.

What is the financial investment?

The financial investment for Aya Leadership’s programs/workshops varies depending on the length of the program/workshop. For individual program costs, please get in touch with us.

What if I register and pay for a program, but then can’t attend?

Once your registration is paid for, in the event you cancel your participation in the registered program, or are unable to attend due to illness or other unforeseen event, you may transfer your program purchase to a subsequent or alternate program, or to another participant. Please get in touch and we will work together to find the best solution for you.
